Enduro Tiki Tech Hybrid Carbon Adjustable Paddle

Key to the performance of the Starboard Enduro Tiki Tech 2 Piece Adjustable This SUP Paddle is the medium dihedral designed into the blade. This key piece of designed helps to stabilise the blade of the paddle in the water as the storke is drawn back through the phases. While it's low aspect (rounded design) makes sure it is very manageable in the water and offers a good quick release, making setting up for the next stroke a breeze.

The shaft of the Starboard Enduro Tiki Tech 2 Piece Adjustable SUP Paddle is Starboard's Hybrid Carbon shaft which is 10% lighter and stronger than the 2015 model. With a diameter of 40mm, the shaft of this paddle is flexible and transfers energy in a more gentle way, making it well suited to long distance paddling and higher cadence.

While the hybrid carbon shaft is great to paddle with, it is the Tiki Tech finish of this Starboard Enduro 2 piece SUP Paddle and the resulting hard wearing surface that allows this paddle to go on and on, thanks to its scratch proof surface. Add to this the high density PVC core within the blade being light yet tough thanks to the addition of a colour coded ABS rail running around the entire blade of this paddle.

The Starboard Enduro Tiki Tech 2 Piece Adjustable SUP Paddle is available in three blade sizes - Small, Medium and Large.

When deciding on paddle blade size, the blade's size can be compared to the gears of a bike: the higher the gear or the smaller the blade, the less effort each stroke consumes with less forward motion generated. The lower the gear or the bigger the blade, the more energy will be used and the more forward motion will be generated.

The smaller blade sizes are recommended for long paddle sessions, lighter people, or those with a high cadence stroke (you paddle at a high stroke rate). The larger blade sizes provide immediate power with only a few strokes enabling fast and late drops into waves. What we are finding is that as paddlers are becoming more experienced, many are choosing a smaller blade size, which is less fatiguing during longer sessions.
